How it all Works

Your Office Anywhere anti virus solution runs 6 (yes SIX) antivirus engines. This means that as soon as any of the major antivirus suppliers have discovered a virus and fix it we get the "cure" for the virus, we are not waiting for a particular antivirus provider to play catch up.

The antivirus and anti-spam solution is AntiGen (now a Microsoft company) and considered to be the market leader by most security professionals in the IT industry.

SpamCure is the engine used by AntiGen anti-spam solution and uses the Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE) definition of spam which rates the email with a 1-10 with 1 being not spam and 10 definitely spam. AntiGen verifies the email and sends the email to the the destination email server with the value it perceives for the email - the destination email server then acts on this (if it supports UCE) by placing the email in a junk email folder for example. In our hosted email solution we place any UCE value greater than 3 in a junk email folder.
