Last year, Cardium – a Microsoft Gold Partner – created a series of cartoon strips to explain the benefits of hosted IT systems. Now, Microsoft’s latest campaign is spookily similar. Hosted solutions have been available in the UK for several years, but it is only over the last 18 months that widely available low-cost broadband has made it a viable choice for small businesses who don’t want the hassle and cost of setting up their own server infrastructure, but still need to have professional email and shared resources available to staff – especially those who work from home or on the move. Cardium Director, Michael Carter explains: “When we launched Your Office Anywhere, the challenge was to get across to business people as simply as we could, just what a difference this service could make to their company. We struck on the idea of a cartoon strip, with our very own Superhero. So we called in the experts – John Freeman to script it and Mike Collins for his brilliant artwork.
