Offsite Hosted Business Disaster Recovery Solution

If you have an application (such as SQL) that is business critical it is possible to have a disaster solution ready and waiting in case of a complete disaster. A copy of your latest SQL backup is backed up to the data centre using offsite backups and the application that accesses it published in Terminal Services. All you need to access the solution is a broadband connection and a Windows XP PC so in case of a disaster you could continue running your business from temporary offices. All you would need is a PC and an internet connection.

Although not necessarily a disaster there are times when employees cannot access the office for example bad weather or a pandemic. If this was causing the business issues again the DR requirements could be instigated allowing users to access the solution remotely over the internet from a company laptop or home PC even.
