Hosting your Microsoft Office or your Open Office solution with YourOfficeAnywhere has many benefits.

The ability to access office applications through our hosted solution anywhere there is an Internet connection. We effectively centralise your Microsoft Office or Open Office data and by doing this “web enable” access to this data.

The Microsoft Office license is rented (currently £12.00 for the Office Standard License which includes 1GB of storage) for each user that accesses the system – this means that if you have a new starter there is no major capital expenditure on Microsoft Office Licenses and similarly if an employee leaves you notify us, we disable the account and you no longer pay for that license which you can’t do under other Microsoft license agreements as you either buy a perpetual license which in this case you now no longer need, or sign up to a yearly agreement which ties you into that license for a minimum of 1 year.

When the next version of the office suite is released as part of the solution we will upgrade you to that version when you want to, so again there are no more costly upgrades this is included in the price of the solution. Again unless you purchase software assurance under a Microsoft licensing agreement you are effectively paying for the software upgrade in full the next time you purchase an Office license.

The system is paid for monthly and includes the cost for your own Enterprise Class Windows Server, the Microsoft Office Standard license, Windows Client Access License, and Terminal Server Client Access License at £27.30 per user per month and includes 1GB of storage for each user – we aggregate this so if you have say 10 users using Microsoft Office you would get 10GB of storage. And yes we do take care of the backups, backing the server up and your office data each night! If you want to run Open Office the cost would be less as there wouldn’t be the requirement for the Microsoft Office License however there would be a 1GB storage cost of £4.00.

The system doesn’t require a VPN or complicated setup all you need is the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client (RDP) which is available on all recent Microsoft Operating systems (Windows XP SP2 and above). To access the Enterprise Class Server running Microsoft Office or Open Office all that you need to do is key in a unique web address to our system and all the data is encrypted over the internet as well.
