Offsite Backups

Off site backups of data for customers who have a local server or PC located in their office who wish to take a regular backup of specific files/data or all their data. A full backup is taken from the customer site and “seeded” onto our backup server. An agent then backs up files that have changed since the last backup. The customer is able to recover files from disk in our data centre via the agent or from another server/pc locally as an option.

Backup Retention

Backups can be specified to retain (n) number of versions of files in case of modified or deleted files. Backups are charged on gigabyte usage so version retention affects the payment. Our current price is £1.00 per 1GB of storage*.

*Assumes 2:1 compression of files – we charge for each 1gb stored on our backup server however the data is compressed. We fully expect to get 2:1 compression in most scenarios.
